My Tween Rocks (Literally)

I just had a seriously cool moment.
I’m sittin on the couch, just hanging with my girlies, and My Tween, out of the blue, says “Mom, can you load some Led Zepplin on my iPod”.

Just like that. The child is 11, and has developed a taste for rock. It’s enough to make a mother weep tears of joy.

Now, I pride myself a little on exposing the kiddos to way more than the standard fare on the radio. We listen to Bob Marley, and latin music, and some cool alternative most of the time. Lately its been blues and some retro Dean Martin and the Andrews Sisters.

I’d figured I would bring some Zep into the mix at some point, you know, but to have her come up all can you and me all shYEA! Seriously, how cool is that.

So now, in addition to some Zep, My Tween also has some AC/DC, Heart, Fleetwood Mac, Guns N Roses, and Scorpions to sample.

Rock on kiddo. Rock On.
