And now a final word….

OMG you guys one more post and then I promise I WILL SHUT UP.
I just found the best site.

You know how sometimes you are all “‘waa waa this sucks blah blah” and like in a matter of seconds anything left that didn’t does?

Allow me to introduce you to a little gem of a site called Grace In Small Things (via nopasanada, thanks).

The gist: Take time each day to recognize 5 things that you can find grace in. Five things that make you feel good and help you de-suck. What a concept right?

Go there. Find Grace.

My five things, today, incidentally:
1. Daughter small who talks too much.
2. Daughter tall who doesn’t talk enough, but who’s smile makes me smile.
3. Mint tea
4. Chicken salad
5. President Barack Obama’s obvious love for his wife. THAT gives me hope.

Now, seriously, GOOD NIGHT.

Wow. All day long I have been thinking about what today means to me. And all I can come up with is WOW. I am practically speechless internet. I just watched Our President, and Our First Lady dance at the Neighborhood Ball, and I am touched, by the obvious love and regard these two people have for eachother. I’m touched to see how much this moment means to them. The honor, and pride that they feel shows in every gesture.

I have read and re-read the speech President Obama made today. I am struck by the consistent theme within- we are a nation of people who will look forward. We will not languish, we will persevere. YES WE CAN.

Wow….more to come as I continue to process all of this. I now have two children who are whoo hoo-ing and celebrating, and I simply must join in.

woooo hooooooooooo!!!
